Barangay Tanzang Luma V is one of the historic and residential barangays located in the highly urbanized city of Imus, within the province of Cavite. Situated in the northern district of Imus, the barangay forms part of the larger Tanzang Luma community composed of several interconnected barangays that have long contributed to the city’s cultural identity, local economy, and community heritage.

Strategically positioned near major residential and commercial zones, Barangay Tanzang Luma V serves as an accessible and progressive community while maintaining the warmth and unity of traditional Filipino neighborhood values. The barangay is bordered by neighboring communities including Mariano Espeleta I, Mariano Espeleta II, Mariano Espeleta III, Maharlika, Buhay na Tubig, Magdalo, Tanzang Luma I, Tanzang Luma IV, and Tanzang Luma VI, making it an important part of the interconnected urban landscape of Imus.

According to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tanzang Luma V recorded a population of approximately 2,173 residents in the 2020 Census. Over the years, the barangay has experienced continuous residential development, reflecting the steady growth of Imus as one of Cavite’s major economic and residential centers.

The city is also home to the historic Imus Cathedral, one of the oldest churches in Cavite dating back to 1795.
